Energy and Rural Business Show

Why Exhibit?

Rural Business Expo

Diversification is essential for all sizes and types of business, especially in the post-Brexit era. Nowhere is this more prevalent than in the agricultural and rural sectors where unexpected developments such as flooding and other extreme weather patterns, poor crop yields, market changes and livestock diseases can have devastating effects on the incomes of those businesses involved. Launching alongside the 10-year-old Energy Now Expo and the new Low-emission vehicle Expo; the Rural Business Expo, will provide ideas and guidance on ways to maximise the value of resources available to the agricultural and rural communities, to increase incomes and in this way help to safeguard these businesses for the future.

The event will consist of an exhibition in which visitors can meet the advisors and suppliers able to assist in their diversification plans. Accompanying this will be practical guidance workshops, where detailed information will be provided on possible new business ventures, how they can be integrated into existing
agricultural / rural businesses, and advice given on areas including funding, planning, legal ramifications, marketing and health & safety requirements.

'The strength of your show is attracting land owners interested in investing their own money in some form of energy diversification. They are very likely to be the decision makers and they are almost always very well informed about a whole range of technologies. They are full of market information. They are happy to ask about our products and talk about others that they know. They are also very community minded and will reliably deliver ‘good ideas’ to others. For these reasons they are exactly the visitors we want.'
